Personality:
Leah, being at the age she is -the dreaded teenager-, is a rebellious one. Well, was a rebellious one until she lost her mother and brother in the oceans. She still has a bit of that rebel nature but not as much. Now she tries to put her rebelliousness into use by being a leader. At heart she‘s a passionate person. Standing up for what she believes is right and just. She can‘t stand bullies and will take them out with her own hands if necessary. But this has rarely happened. But deeper within herself, within her soul and mind, she‘s scarred from the loss of her mother and brother. She feels as if it‘s her fault that they died because instead of checking on them when the sirens went off she ran straight to the deck, thinking that they‘d be there soon. This haunts her in her dreams. Many times she wakes up screaming watching her brother drown or her mother being sucked under the giant ship.
Leah loves nature so in fact, being on an island doesn‘t bother her. She loves swimming and usually when she goes in for a swim she‘ll take a spear-like stick and go fishing. Leah is also a stubborn person which builds up into her standing up for things or people. She won‘t go down without a fight or argument at the least. Leah just needs a lot of guidance from an older sister kind of person, or even a love interest. She isn‘t looking for a love interest, but she won‘t deny one. In fact, she‘ll welcome it with open arms. It‘s been so long since she‘s been held like she was loved.

ON THE OUTSIDE,
[/size]Appearance:
Leah was a swimmer for her high school swimming team, so she has a body built like a swimmer. Wide shoulders, narrow waist and strong arms. She‘s skinny, but not overly skinny in that sickly kind of way. She has long wavy hair as black as night and tan skin. She has eyes that slightly pull up from the outside corners giving an Egyptian eye but as far as she knows there‘s no Egyptian in her at all. Her eyes are a lovely blue, almost as vibrant as the sea is bright sunlight, but to her nothing can match the beautiful blue of the sea. She‘s around 5‘ 7“; not short but not terribly tall. She has a round face with prominent cheek bones and a small nose.
THE PAST,
History: 1-6: Leah grew up like a normal child with a mother, father, and brother. Having the same squabbles that everyone does with their siblings and parents. But her parents knew that when she started school things would be a little different around the home.
7-13 : School started in September for her when she entered kindergarten. She was a good student, always listening and paying attention till she met a friend named Blake. He was the joker of the class. Playing pranks and trying to be funny, this helped Leah to loosen up, but eventually Leah became fully untied. In middle school Leah would get into fights at least once a week with some other girls and even some boys. Not to mention she beat every one of them with her own fists. Blake is almost to blame for this. When he entered middle school he became accustomed to the wrong “pack” and started to become a bully. Leah would stand up for him, even though she knew he was in the wrong. Eventually she became just a toy for him. If he was in trouble he’s call for her and she’d come like a puppy begging for attention. She wanted him to notice her and after she’d protect him she’d look back with a smile and see him making-out with another girl somewhere. One day, doing the same old thing, looking back and seeing him with a girl she’d had enough. She blew up on him. Yelling and screaming. Calling him words that would make mothers turn their children and walk away quickly. She began to hit him with her hands with turned into punches, his face, stomach, shoulders, anything she could reach. And he had no way to defend her. After she was all yelled out he was on the floor in a crumpled heap, blood seeping through his shirt and lips. Bruises covered his face, arms, and torso. Leah was expelled from school. Apparently she had hurt him so badly that he had to go to the hospital. She felt horrible about the whole thing. But still agreed that he got what he deserved.
14-17: Her mother and father furious with her behavior and enraged that she had even befriended that boy in the first place, sent Leah to a boarding school with all girls. Here, they taught a girl manners, poise, and how to tie up your anger and deal with it later on. Hearing of Leah‘s anger background the principal of “Girls Boarding School of Etiquette” suggested that Leah take up a sport. Leah didn‘t very well like basketball because it was too touchy, to many bodies touching at once. Soccer wasn‘t the best choice either, she couldn‘t dribble a ball with her feet. Much less hit one with her head. Volleyball ended with her on her face the whole time which only enraged her more. Swimming was the only thing left. She knew that she was a good swimmer, but with practice and help from the coach, she would be the best swimmer the school had ever seen.
Currently: Leah‘s mother hadn‘t seen Leah since Christmas and Leah didn‘t come home over the summer holidays because she had a job now. So she wanted to see her daughter like any mother would and had the bright idea to go on a cruise with her and her brother for a couple days. Their father was at work over the weekend and she couldn‘t leave her youngest son of 12 to fend for himself. So she took him along with her. Leah happily obliged to go with her and as a result she is now on an island with complete strangers.

Cold. Numb. Alone. The only light protruding from this never-ending blackness that was the sea came from what little of the moon there was. A little sliver, a thumbnail moon my mother called them. How did this happen? How did… A wave rushed over me, pulling me and the door I was sitting on under the water. Luckily I held onto the knob, otherwise I‘d be swimming in the cold degree water. I had just regained some of my body heat before that wretched wave overtook me. I climbed back onto the door, the only thing that I saw in reach after my mother was pulled down into the abyss. My mother… A tear escaped my eyes, leaving a warm trail down my cheek that turned bitterly cold. Alone…so alone. “Mom.” I tried to say, but the shivering within my body was to violent for my lips to obey me.
I should’ve told her no. I shouldn’t have told her that a cruise was a great idea. But I hadn’t seen her in over a year, I felt alone again. I hate being alone. And now, thanks to myself, I’ll be alone forever in this blasted ocean. Another wave rushed towards us, but instead of the crest spilling on top of me it fell into the ocean and sent us forward a little quicker. All of the sudden the door hit something and I shot forward, smacking my hands onto the wood. Land? I tentatively stood up on the wood, and walked forward, and instead of the front sinking, it stood its ground. I set my foot onto the shifting sand. Onto the sand that would be my new home.
