As a background vis-à-vis this little lady, you can find her bio here. Basically, her life to date has been dominated by her overbearing mother and, after learning to 'love' her in a weird, slightly Stockholm-syndrom-y way, witnessed her being pulverised by a grand piano during the shipwreck. This, understandably, has led to her becoming a little mentally unstable. She behaves more like a six- than seventeen-year-old and a case of PTSD means she's forgotten the actual shipwreck, as well as what happened to her mother.
 This one is going to be a doozy. I'm open to anything here, but patience is probably going to be a must (though your character can have as short a fuse as you like). Skye is little better than a walking doll at the moment and she just needs someone to idolise and who'll, if not take care of her, eventually come to tolerate her enough to let her hang around. In return, she'll provide an endless supply of affection and free, basically uncomplaining manual labour. She's perfectly willing to walk to the ends of the earth and back on hot coals for someone who'll take her and let her 'love' them. Violent, affectionate or a little bit broken themselves: it shouldn't really matter, as long as Skye can find a reason to fixate upon them. It can be thanks to them that she eventually 'recovers' from her trauma and starts to return to the person she was before her mother's abuse wore her down; or that can be put off, happen randomly, or be caused by someone else altogether c: This obviously isn't going to happen overnight, though, so you'll have months of Skye's obsessively sunny disposition beforehand ;D
This is more for my own future reference c: In that vaguely-referenced time in the future when she returns to herself, Skye is going to be hit with another ton of bricks: that delightful moment when a girl whose whole life, friends and dominating mother have pointed her to men... realises that she's not, actually, completely straight. I'd like for her to turn out to be more of a girl's girl than anything, but I have put 'pansexual' above for a reason c: If anyone thinks they might like a crush (or, who knows, the blossoming of romance?) I'm looking at the ladies. Oh, and there might be a dude she might affix herself to in order to pretend she's not really in like like with a girl. I'm open to any thoughts in this regard, too

i would like to throw Crow at you :3 i think she would fit perfectly.
Crow herself has a pretty traumatic past (read it if you ever get bored enough. i warn you, it's long xD), and has emotional scars that put Marilyn Mason to shame. she is a lesbian and, in only twenty years of life, has gained and lost two lovers, both having sacrificed themselves for her. needless to say, she's pretty broken up about it all.
i can easily see her attaching herself to Skye like Skye would attach herself to Crow xD they both are looking for someone to ground them. Crow would be the best person to help Skye recover--she’s a big teddy bear, despite the front she tries to put up, and would absolutely try her best to help Skye in any way. i can also Crow falling hardcore in love with the girl.
let me know what you think xD i know this is kinda sketchy and disorganized x.x

Yay, Crow c: I read her bio earlier and got genuine chills! It feels like she's had a lot of time and care put into her, as well as excellent writing :3
I can see Skye and Crow getting along really well together :3 Especially since neither of them will want to discuss their pasts much, which means they should hopefully get off on a good foot. (Also Skye would be nothing if not a sucker for a big teddy-bear :3)
I hope you don't mind, but I'm really not one for planning out role-play too much! I mean, if you have marvellous ideas as to things that could happen to them then I am completely open to playing towards that; it's just that it's never been something I have been in the habit of doing ^^; So really, sketchy and disorganised is the best ;D

Same! It's just one of the many things that makes role-playing different from just writing a story XD
Skye's actually in a thread with the lovely Jenn and her Luke at the moment, which is mildly inconvenient for our purposes XD I did mark it as open, but I shall ask her about making the openness official when she comes on-- it's only three posts in and I don't know if she has things that were going to be achieved there. HOPEFULLY it will all be good :3

I'll be skipping merrily around the real world (yay, socialising!) for the rest of today and a good hunk of tomorrow, so if you want to start one somewheres then that would be perfectly fine by me :3 I can start it when I get back if you're not in the mood for preliminaries, though x3
