Personality:
Maelina tends to be a bundle of good will and excitement. She sees no reason that nothing in life can't be fun. She has a big heart and an even bigger spirit. Lina does have some secrets, but who doesn't? Her overly happy nature is simply hiding her much deeper fears of ending up old and alone with no one to remember her. Nothing keeps her down for long however, and she can turn even the most boring of tasks into the most fun a girl can have.
She does suffer from Save the World Syndrome, tending to give far too much of herself and be far too trusting of those around her. While starting to become a bit wiser in her adult years, she still has a hard time reading which people are truthful and which just want to use her. While not necessarily gulliable, she can be a tad Naive. Maelina follows her heart more then her head, which can get her into some serious trouble.

ON THE OUTSIDE,
[/size]Appearance:
Maelina has shoulder length deep red hair and light green eyes. While she is no stranger to the sun, her pale skin doesn't seem to get any darker. She is a very petite woman, barely surpassing 120lbs. Her lithe body holds all the muscles of a professional dancer as well as the agility that comes with it. In her normal life she wouldn't have been caught dead without her camera, course that isn't really an option anymore. The only word to describe her appearance is 'Sweet'.
THE PAST,
History:
Maelina grew up in sunny southern California, her life could only be described as easy. Least that was until the summer of her 15th year. Her parents were both killed in a horrible car accident and she was nearly taken from her brother Julian and put into a foster home. Julian, however, was deemed old enough to become her legal guardian and the two managed to stick together. They were as close as family members could get, till Maelina decided to further her artistic endeavours. She'd taken dance throughout her entire life, her mother having enrolled her in ballet classes at an early age. She picked up Photography in high school after her parents died, and chose to attend an Academy for the Arts to further her loves of both. Funding was a bit tight however, her brother was doing his best but he was just one person. Maelina knew she'd need to find a summer job and stumbled upon the dream job of a life time as a Dance Instructor on a cruise ship for the summer. She had no idea how much her life was going to change that summer, all she knew was that her heart was telling her she was doing the right thing.

Nailah was fully aware that something was about to come bursting through her office door, she could hear her poor secretary trying to stop him. Though she didn't have enough time to warn Sorbello, she did have enough time to prepare herself so she wasn't the one jumping out of her skin when Aarick came bursting into the room and creating more chaos then was needful. Nailah resisted the urge to roll her eyes and growl in annoyance, it wouldn't be becoming of her, nor help the situation. While Sorbello left, Nailah took a moment to press her red nailed finger tips to her temples and rub them. Whatever Aarick thought was so important, she was gonna need all the strength she had not to throttle him for his behavior. She kept her face an unreadable mask of calm while he spoke, allowing nothing of what he said to insight an emotional response. It wouldn't be until he'd finally stopped talking and allowed her enough time to think that she would respond to him.
"Aarick, how many times do I have tell you, when we are in private, call me Nailah. Titles are only necessary when in the presence of lesser Mages. You and I are almost equals in this and we are on the same team. I don't care if your hair is on fire and there is a dragon attacking the building, there is absolutely no call for my Second to be running through the halls and causing everyone to panic. You've probably done more harm with your behavior then that file under your arm! Sorbello is now going to know something big is happening, and not only will he spread that piece of news around, but he might even go so far as to figure out what it is and make his own attempt at stopping it just so he can curry favor with myself and the other Overseers. Now, everyone who has seen you running through the halls will be talking about it, wondering what on Earth could be so bad as to make Overseer Westminster act like a crazy man." Now that her bout of annoyance was dealt with, Nailah got up from her desk and walked around it to lean back against it in front of him. The black pants suit she wore hugged her curves without going too far as to be obscene. She'd left her jacket on the back of her chair, and the red top she wore left her arms bare. Her shadow tattoos seemed to be as agitated as she was, writhing along her flesh and causing the Arabic script to be hard to read, if he could even read Arabic. She held her hand out to him so that he could hand over the file.
Once he did, she would open it up and peruse the papers inside, allowing her dark eyes to skim over everything. "I think I'm going to have to have a little chat with the Prognosticators, they are immensely failing at their duties if this was going to get past them. It doesn't matter what they think is important, if they see anything it needs to be documented and looked into, nothing should be getting past the Order. Though I suppose that will have to wait until later." With those words, Nailah closed the file once more and leaned across her desk to depress a button on her phone.
"Lana, will you please get a hold of Third Inspector Hitchcock, Second Inspector Greene, and Second Centurion Rose. Tell them they are needed in my office immediately, I don't care what they are doing or where they are, they need to be here yesterday." She waited for her secretary to confirm her wishes and then let the button go. Turning back to Aarick, Nailah crossed her arms before her. She chosen to only put up half of her long dark hair that day, the top bit pulled back into a braided bun, while the rest was left to cascade around her shoulders. The braid also held a red rose decoration, tying her outfit all together.
"Tell me what your plans are for this Aarick, you're right about this being urgent, but it needs to be done properly."
