A LITTLE DEEPER,
Alliance:
Straggler
Personality:
First impressions? Everyone automatically assumes that since he's rich he has to be a stuck up snob. In all reality? Bentley is the sweetest, most humble boy you will ever meet. Sure he has money, but he's not one to flaunt it. He just feels it was luck that dropped him into this life of luxury, nothing else. Bentley finds it comical when people approach him for the first time expecting him to be a total.......prick? Boy does he surprise them. Although, not many other boys approached him back in his school days. Maybe because he's got all the right moves and is a total ladies man. Bentley is the type to open doors, pull out chairs, and carry the books of any girl; that's what he was taught to do by his father. Again he's like that with every girl, he's just naturally poised and gentleman-like. Bentley is always confident in himself which has restricted the use of his "filter". This boy will say whatever is on his mind no matter what. This nearly always gets him into trouble but he sees the "no filter" thing being a good trait. Who doesn't like someone who speaks their mind? This also makes him quite the joker, or I guess he's more of a teaser. He loves to fool around but the best part is, he knows when to stop. All n all, Bentley is sweetest and funniest guy you may ever meet. If you haven't mustered up the courage to talk to him yet this is your chance! I assure you he doesn't bite.
After you muster up that courage to approach him you’re sure to find that he truly is a total sweetheart. You can guarantee that if you make it into his circle of friends that you won’t find yourself wanting to get out. Bentley is super loyal to those who are loyal to him. He’s the type of friend who is always there when you need him. When you’re upset he knows exactly how to cheer you up. He gives great advice and makes it really sound like he understands you. Sometimes he could never imagine being in your situation but he makes a true effort to try and understand and comfort you. Getting back to the loyalty thing, this boy takes it seriously. You dare put a toe out of line in his book and you’ve doomed yourself to his wrath. Bentley’s got quite the temper and doesn’t take the offense of a back stabber lightly. He becomes even more infuriated with himself in some cases because he feels dumb that he ever went against his better judgment and trusted you/them. Just watch your back, this boy has no fear of revenge.
Likes:
coffee, parties, taking walks, football, chick flicks (shh!), & reading
Dislikes:
cherry flavoring, cats, being alone, smoking (yeah, he's tried it), sleezy men, & being talked down too
Strengths:
extremely smart, ladies man, determined, gives good advice & athletic
Weaknesses:
Overly trusting, Gets too attached to things/people, short temper, lack of “word filter” & likes revenge
ON THE OUTSIDE,
[/size]Appearance:
Bentley has alway been the tall dark and handsome type. He's finally stopped growing and now stands at 6'2. He weighs just over 185 pounds but believe me, it's mostly muscle. His hair is a dirty blonde and usuall medium length, although a shorter cut isn't always out of the picture. Sometimes you need a change, you know? Anyways, his eyes are dark and very expressive. You can usually tell his mood from his eyes. However, whatever his mood, Bentley is always wearin a smile. Thank god for braces, otherwise it would be a highly crooked smile. Style wise, Bentley is pretty much all over the place. He could wear just about anything and be totally comfortable. However, when at work, looking decent is his only rule so he makes an effort.
THE PAST,
History:
Born in Boston, Bentley’s early years were as close to “normal” as you would expect. Although his family did have money, and lots of it. His father had inherited a hefty sum along with a private company from his parents upon their death in a car crash. Millions to be exact. Bentley’s parents had met through a mutual friend and hit it off from the start. They got engaged after dating for only three months, but you know when things are perfect right? They got married and bought a large estate in the countryside beyond Boston, but close enough for Bentley’s father to get to work. Bentley was born just over a year later. Five years later came his sister, and two years after that another sister. All was fine and dandy until the year Bentley turned fifteen. His father had acquired a deadly form of cancer and was in the hospital for several months. The whole family knew the end was near but it was hard none-the-less. After six months of living in and out of the hospital, Bentley’s father died.
After his father’s death, Bentley seemed to take on a fatherly role himself. He ran out and got a job and was doing all the running around once he got his license. His mother still had to work at her job (she was a vet) and there was never anyone home to take care of his sisters. Bentley constantly gave up all the things he loved so that his sisters had someone with them. He turned down an offer to play for his high school’s football, basketball, and baseball teams. He was dumped by a girl he really cared about because he wasn’t spending enough time with her. His friends practically abandoned him. It was hard, but he knew he was doing the right thing.
After high school he decided he needed to get a “new” start. He opted against going to a school in Boston and instead packed up and attended a college in Miami, FL. He finally could do what he wanted when he wanted and not have to worry about his sisters in the process. He studied sports management and landed a job with the Miami Dolphins. It finally seemed as though everything was falling into place.

Dancing had always come naturally to Travis. He had a good sense of rhythm and could easily stay in sync with just about anyone. He had to have gone to at least twenty high school dances and was always the first one out with whichever girl we was escorting. The girl was hardly ever thrilled with the idea of being the first on the dance floor but Travis always made them comfortable. He could handle having all eyes on him; maybe it was because he rode? In the show ring he always had eyes on him. Staring was never something he minded. If they didn’t appreciate what he was doing they didn’t have to watch. He had never taken any formal classes; he acquired his knowledge from watching others. He always believed that dance was so beautiful and was always a good way to a girls heart.
He appreciated the fact that Azaria could keep in constant motion with him. She let him lead her and didn’t do anything to drastic. Travis recalled some of the prom dates he had. They always tried to “drive” him and do crazy outrageous dance steps, why couldn’t they just keep it simple? A smile never left his face as he released her from his grip. She had taken dance lessons, go figure. Travis sat on the couch contently, stretching his arms across the back board. He sighed; did he really just meet his dream girl?
His attention was called back upon her as she spoke. Apparently her father talked a bit more than a little about him. Azaria described him as a crazed fan girl, this made him laugh. He had plenty of those, but none that were present in the body of a middle aged man. The image that popped into his head made him laugh even more. He wiped a tear from his eye as she continued. Her next words ceased his laughing.
“….but I don’t see Travis the ex-show jumper, I just see Travis.”
Those were just about the best words he had ever heard. He looked away from her quickly, staring out the window. Not many understood what he went through. Most everyone he came in contact with judged him on his riding and not his overall self. All they ever wanted to talk about was his accident and how he ALMOST made it. What if he had made it? He assumed they wouldn’t try and talk about it as much as they do now. He had it rough when it came to people, he was glad she understood that.
”He just might be your number one fan back home,”
Travis let his eyes slip back to face Azaria again. He managed to stretch a smile at her words. “I wonder what he’d say if you told him that you met this Travis Moore,” he paused, his smile widened. “And that the ex-show jumper tried to seduce you and succeeded.” He smiled, looking up at the clock on the wall. 5:25. Travis’s eyes widened as he jumped off the couch. He had a lesson in five minutes!
He grabbed his wallet, shoving it down his back pocket. “I have to get going, I have a lesson to teach.” He shrugged rolling his eyes. He took two steps towards the door before running back to the coffee table and grabbing the nearest piece of paper. He wrote his name followed by a phone number. “Here,” he said, extending his arm towards Azaria. “If you ever want to get together, or if you feel like getting laid,” he paused, chuckling loudly, “don’t be afraid to call,” he loosened his grasp on the paper as she took it from his hand. Grabbing her other hand, he left a light kiss upon it before walking towards the door. He looked over his shoulder one last time before leaving, “I’m sure I’ll be seeing you around,” and with that he ran out the door, hoping his student wasn’t waiting for him.
