Welcome to Veyska University, a small, prestigious, highly selective private school located on the outskirts of Daly City about nine miles from San Francisco. Nationally known for its arts program, aspiring actors, dancers, painters, and film producers send in applications by the dozens. Those lucky enough to gain acceptance are worked to the bone, but if they can survive the program, they’re likely to catch the eyes of the Hollywood scouts who frequently lurk around the theatre and film departments.
Many students whose interests lie elsewhere also apply to the school every year. Though it is best known for its arts programs, Veyska University has a number of other equally rigorous, equally prestigious programs, and it holds all its students to incredibly high standards. An incredible 90% of Veyska students are placed in either a paid or volunteer job position in their area of study within a year after graduation.
Even those who come in with no idea what they want to do have a chance to figure it out. Veyska University requires all students to fill a number of general education requirements in humanities, mathematics, social sciences, natural sciences, fine arts, and foreign languages. Regardless of what students want to do when they arrive, they are all hoping for the same thing. They all want to make a name for themselves and make the great escape into a bigger, better world.
